Usai sudah malam penghargaan Academy Awards 2014. Hasilnya, 12 Years A Slave dinobatkan sebagai film terbaik dalam seremoni yang dilangsungkan di Dolby Theatre, Hollywood, Senin (3/3) WIB.
Selain film terbaik, acara tertinggi untuk perfilman dunia tersebut juga memberikan berbagai award. Di antaranya ialah best actor yang diraih Matthew McConaughey dalam film bertajuk Dallas Buyer's Club.
Sementara, gelar artis terbaik direbut Cate Blanchett yang bermain sangat menawan dalam film Blue Jasmine. Sedangkan gelar sutradara terbaik direngkuh Alfonso Cuaron yang menggarap film berjudul Gravity.
